Martin Thermal Engineering, Inc. investigates all types of fires and explosions that require engineering knowledge to determine causation. Dr. Martin and his associates have investigated more than one hundred fires and explosions in California and nine other states. In addition to industrial, commercial, and residential structure fires, we have also investigated dozens of passenger, heavy-duty, and off-road vehicle fires as well as vessel fires. Dr. Martin is a Certified Fire Investigator (by the International Association of Arson Investigators) according to the requirements of NFPA 1033. He has unique expertise analyzing the following types of fires and explosions: flash fires, dust and vapor deflagrations, rapid fire spread, tunnel fires, duct fires and deflagrations, landfill fires, spontaneous combustion, mining and metallurgical fires, baghouse fires, and many others.
